Best Wii Games for Kids
Nintendo makes many great games, in this article we will try to answer the question: Which are the best wii games for kids? In selecting these games we did not just look at games that kids enjoy, but also games that stimulate and challenge their minds.
These games aren’t for kids younger than 4 years of age.
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Lego have released a number of these games and they have become very good at making them. Kids love the cute Lego characters as well as the puzzle solving aspect of the game.
Lego Star Wars has a very good multiplayer mode, so your kids will be able to play this with you or each other.
The game stretches through both the old and new Star Wars movies and you will recognize many of the characters and sets.

Wii Music
Wii Music is a music simulator. You use the Wii controller to play instruments like the guitar, violin, piano, drums, trumpet, maracas, and cowbell. This game is great for both young and older kids, because some of the instruments are very easy to play while others are more difficult.
There are 60 instruments so kids with a love for music will have hours of fun with Wii Music. The game also allows you to play as the conductor of an orchestra or maybe your kids would enjoy the multiplayer, where they can play with up to 7 other players.

Big Brain Academy
Big Brain Academy is a collection of brain-teasing minigames. It has a wide array of difficulty settings and games which will help it appeal to both young and older kids. Each game is very simple to understand, as they intuitively use the pointing and clicking features of the Wii Remote.
It manages to stand apart from similar games by offering different types of slightly more thought-intensive minigames
The multiplayer mode of this game is great fun and allows up to 8 people to compete against each other.
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy is probably one of the best Wii games ever. It has the best 3D graphics of any Wii game.
Kids will love the sound track as well as all the fun stages. They play as Mario, who has to rescue a princess, that has been taken to outer space. Along the way they will face tons of clever and sometimes dastardly traps and puzzles to navigate.
Mario can wear a number of special suits, in this game, for instance the bee suit that allows him to fly or the ice suit that lets him freeze water and walk over it.

Star Wars Games
Generally games built around a movie brand, like Star Wars, aren’t very good. Normally they are just looking to milk some easy money from the brand. It therefor comes as a pleasant surprise that some Star Wars games aren’t merely good, some of them are really great games. Lucas Arts has achieved this by demanding a certain level of quality from everything that carries the Star Wars name.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Released: September 2008

The Force Unleashed has a great story line, in my opinion, much better than the 3 movies of the Star Wars trilogy. You play Galen Marek, AKA Starkiller, Darth Vader’s secret apprentice. The clone wars have recently ended and Vader sends you after the remaining Jedi. You are joined on your quest by an android called PROXY and your female pilot, Juno Eclipse. I found myself growing remarkably fond of Starkiller and his companions, and I found their moral conflicts added a lot of weight to the story.
Once you really get into the game you truly feel like a powerful Dark Jedi, using a variety of force powers and lightsaber slashes to rain death upon imperial and rebel foes. This is achieved by the game’s excellent physics engine and graphics. You can grab any number of objects or characters using the force, then you can use other skills like force lightning and force push, to throw stormtroopers into Wookiees and crush Felucians under boulders. In open environments, these mechanics deliver great fun, but they can be a little tricky to work in close quarter fights.
As you progress from level to level, you will find upgrade crystals, which allow you to learn new combos and upgrade your force powers to make them more effective. This gives one the impression that Starkiller grows more powerful. You’ll encounter increasingly stronger foes as you move forward, many of whom are immune to one force power or another. This forces you to vary the combinations you use to defeat your enemies.
I found the game to be a pleasant challenge especially where the game’s bosses were concerned. The boss fights have multiple parts, so you don’t have to start all over, every time you get killed.
The force unleashed also has a few easy, but sensible, puzzles that require you to pull platforms upward or bend metal slabs down.
All in all, I think The Force Unleashed is a very good game and a must buy for all Star Wars fans.

Must Have Wii Games
I think we can all agree that Nintendo’s Wii game console has changed the video gaming market for ever. Their motion sensitive game controls have added a new layer to gaming bringing games closer to reality than it has ever been. But the Wii is nothing without the games that you play on it. A number of good games have been released for the Wii, but I am not here to talk about the good games today. I am here to talk about the truly great games, the games that have come to define the wii experience. Those must have Wii games which absolutely no gamer should ever be without.
It is possible to split these must have games into two categories: games that are great for solo-play and games that are best enjoyed with friends. From the social games such as: Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and WarioWare:Smooth Moves, you can get nearly endless game play fun. Examples of the best solo games are: Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, and Okami.
I will review Zelda and Mario Kart first. These two brands have been with Nintendo for a long time and they have put a lot of effort into making sure that the games are of the very highest quality.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
In this game the land of Hyrule is being absorbed by the “shadow realm”. You play a pointy eared youth called Link out to save the land, for princess Zelda. You don’t only play as Link, when you enter the shadows your character turns into a wolf, which definitely makes things more interesting.
Mostly you take on enemies, with your sword and shield though. You control the sword with your Wii controller and you bash and block with your Nunchuk controlled shield. While the combat in Zelda is pretty good, especially the level bosses, Zelda is at it’s heart a puzzle solving game.
So, if you love puzzle solving and a bit of combat on the side, this is absolutely the game for you.

Mario Kart Wii
Fans of Mario Kart will love the new motorcycles and dirt bikes that have been added to the game. Also the developers have added a mid air stunt system. This means that if you do a impressive stunt, you get a speed boost when you land. Old Mario Karters will also enjoy all the new weapons that are available in the new version.
Mario Kart is best when played with a friend or against players online.
You get a control wheel with the game, your Wii controller clips onto the wheel. Using the wheel is much better than just using the controller and you can use the wheel in other racing games.
Mario Kart Wii is a must have game for all racing fans.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Smash bros is a fighting game. You get to pick one of the famous characters from the Nintendo Games and then you go head to head with another character. Played by either AI or a human player.
Smash Bros. Brawl includes a plethora of impressive characters, features, and game modes, and is more accessible and fun than ever before.

Resident Evil 4
This is the fourth instillation in the Resident Evil first person series. For those of you who are somehow not familiar with the games or movies, be warned this game is not for kids.
You play as Leon S. Kennedy, a secret agent in charge of recovering the president’s kidnapped daughter. Your mission leads to a creepy Spanish village whose residents are, well, not of a sunny disposition.
Resident Evil has it all, breathtaking action that keeps you on the edge of your seat with lumbering almost-zombies, chanting cultists, and challenging fights against titanic bosses.
I recommend playing playing resident evil with the Zapper game accessory, you can read more about the Zapper in Nintendo Wii Accessories.

Pro Evolution Soccer
Pro Evolution Soccer is the best football game for the Wii. It gets to the top of the list because of it’s new control system and good online play. You use the Wii controller to draw where you want your players to run on the screen and what you want them to do when they get there. It might sound a little different but once you try it, playing the game on the Wii is very natural.
All football fans will fall in love with Pro Evolution Soccer.

If you enjoyed must have Wii games you should also read best Wii family games and must have Wii games.
Xbox 360 Accessories
There are some very good Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories on the market and here you will find the best. These accessories will greatly improve your immersion as well as provide a much better gameplay experience.
One of the best ways to improve your Xbox 360 games is to take them online and play against Xbox players from all over the world. Playing online is much more fun than beating a game’s limited AI. The minimum requirements for playing online is a modem and a Microsoft gold membership.
You can use the cable that comes with your Xbox to connect directly to the modem or to your home network.
Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Membership Card
| You need a gold membership to play online and this card gives you 12 months of membership. Now it is a little bit expensive, but I consider it well worth the cost.
There is just no comparing the service with that of say Playstation’s online gaming. |

| I am a big believer in wireless everything. It is the only way I keep my place from becoming one big knot of cables.
If you have a Wi-Fi home network, that is connected to the internet, you can easily go online with this handy accessory. You just clip it on and you are ready to go. |

Wireless Headset
| There are many games, like Halo 3, where you want to speak to your team online while you play. This little gadget lets you do so wirelessly.
You can use up to 4 game pads and 4 wireless headsets at the same time. |

Live Vision Camera
| This camera is great for video chat and photo messaging. You can also use the camera to play games that are controlled through your body movements. | ![]() |
Play and Charge Kit
| I hate it when my wireless remote control runs out of power, while I am playing. This Kit is the solution to that problem. It is a long cable that you plug into the box and you can play on while the controller charges. It comes with an extra rechargeable battery pack. | ![]() |
Wireless Wheel
| This is for gamers that love those racing games. You can play with the wheel on your lap or clamp it onto a table. The wheel simulates the resistance and force of racing.
I recommend playing Grand Theft Auto 4, Project Gotham Racing, Forza Motorsport 2 and Race Driver GRID with this wheel. |
