The most popular and best accessory is undoubtedly the Wii Fit. Our modern life style is turning us into a obese nation, especially the kids. The Wii Fit succeeds in making exercise fun. Which makes it a good thing, in my opinion.
The Wii Fit operates through 4 digital scales. Which tell the software whether you are doing the exercises correctly or not. There are over 40 activities which are divided into four categories - aerobics, yoga poses, muscle conditioning and balance games.

The games include a ski game, a football game, a hula-hoop game and a jogging game. They are all pretty good and will give you an excellent workout.
The Wii Zapper is an excellent accessory which greatly improves the gameplay of shooting games. You clip your controller and Nunchuk onto the Zapper. You use your left hand to move your character around and your right hand to aim and shoot. It takes a few minutes to get use to it, but after that, it’s great. With conventional game guns is that your arm gets tired really quickly. With the zapper you can play much longer without your arm hurting.

The game Link’s Crossbow Training that comes with the zapper is pretty good.
There are some excellent shooting games for the WII, I recommend: Resident Evil, House of the Dead, Ghost Squad and Medal of Honour.
If the Zapper doesn’t look good to you, this is the best alternative. It is a one handed device, which leaves all the buttons on the controller, reachable on the top. You can plug your Nunchuk in at the bottom of the gun. Like the zapper it works with all Wii shooter games.

There are allot of bad driving wheels out there. This is the official Nintendo driving wheel. It makes racing games allot more fun. You might think about buying Mario Kart, which is a great game and one driving wheel comes free, with the game.
Games I recommend you play with the wheel: Need for Speed: ProStreet, Driver: Parallel Lines and Excite Truck.

This game comes with an dance mat. The screen shows where you need to step and then you have to step on the right block on the mat. It is good fun and a heavy workout. We used this during a party recently and it was a big hit. If you want to play it in 2 player mode you need to buy an additional mat.

For some games the Wii controller just doesn’t feel right. The controller replaces the Nunchuk so the setup is still wireless.
If you’re playing the virtual console games, I highly recommend this controller. You can buy virtual console games by selecting the shop button on the Wii menu. You can purchase games from the NES,MegaDrive,TurboGX16,SNES and the N64.
